This card was inspired by my experience as a new mom in the early days of the pandemic.  The image of the linked arms is symbolic of the virtual connections that held me up during the first months navigating the new world of parenthood along with the upside-down world of the shutdown.  During those months, while I got plenty of messages of support and congratulations from around the country, the text chain of my "mom friends" was the one where I was asked "no really, how ARE you?"  Cut off from doctors visits, family and friend visits we had lined up to help with the normal transition to parenthood, this text chain was a life line to me where I could ask the hard questions and the frequent "is this normal?" in a safe space at a time the world with a newborn felt so very unsafe.
